There are three distinct orientation programs running on campus during the summer months: Summer Program Orientation, International Student Orientation and Graduate Orientation. Orientation programs are an opportunity to meet fellow students, explore campus, learn about various resources and settle into housing if you're living on campus.
Summer Program Orientation
Summer Program Orientation runs from June 13 through June 15 and includes events and informational programming relevant to RISD's summer graduate programs in Architecture and Interior Architecture.
Students who attend Summer Program Orientation are asked to also attend the Graduate Orientation program held prior to the start of the fall semester.
International Graduate Student Orientation
Held August 29–30 prior to general orientation for all graduate students, International Student Orientation is mandatory for those new students who require a visa to study in the US. Parents/families of international graduate students are also invited to attend a concurrent orientation program.
If you do not require a visa but consider yourself part of the international student community and would like to attend this orientation please email email@example.com.
