International student info

International Student and Scholar Affairs (ISSA) provides guidance to our international students on a wide range of topics, including student visa guidelines. ISSA receives regular updates from the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) Division on the most current information so that RISD can best support our international students.

While your graduate program directors (GPDs) offer support as academic advisors and mentors, it is important that you look to ISSA to provide specific guidance regarding federal law and reporting for international students. The role of ISSA is to stay well-apprised on new and fast-changing requirements and guidance. Please direct any questions regarding student visas to issa@risd.edu.
