Join fellow new graduate students for a reception on Moore Terrace (outside the second floor of the Chace Center or just off the exterior stairway next to the Museum entrance).

Monday, September 2

Welcome/Morning Orientation Session for Students
Fleet Library (15 Westminster Street)

This orientation session (breakfast and lunch will be provided) will cover key campus resources and support services.

Afternoon Session: Shaping Your Creative Life
Research Area (20 Washington Place, 3rd floor)

Join us for a afternoon orientation session covering more details of graduate life at RISD and insights on building an art & design career.

Fall Convocation
RISD Auditorium

Join President Rosanne Somerson, Provost Kent Kleinman, academic deans, department heads, new faculty members and others for the official opening of the academic year.

Night at the Museum
RISD Museum

Enjoy one of RISD’s most valuable resources: draw in the galleries, chat with RISD students about their artistic practice, take part in a student-led gallery tour, explore the collection on your own and mingle with friends over snacks in the Grand Gallery. Enter the RISD Museum through the Benefit Street entrance.
